Permanently under tension , they supply the motor with an auxiliary phase. Voltage mentionnen on the condensator body is different from the main voltage. Replacement by a condensator with a higher voltage is possible, not the contrary. If the condensator displays a capacity in micro farad (µF) with more or less 20%, the motor can start but provides insufficient torque and speed, which can affect the lifetime.
